PROBLEM

The client wanted to develop a personalized logo that visually combines his roots from Azerbaijan and his birth in Latvia.
The main challenge was to create symbolism where:

clearly and elegantly reflects both cultures and their importance in the client's identity;
the design does not seem cluttered or stereotypical;
The symbols are modern and easily recognizable in their visual language.

SOLUTION

When developing the coat of arms, elements were selected that symbolically reflect the cultural code of Azerbaijan and Latvia, maintaining it clearly and harmoniously.

📌 Azerbaijani influence

The solar flame/fire motif is a reference to the national symbols of Azerbaijan, where fire symbolizes the "eternal flame", which is closely linked to the identity and nature of the country.
Blue and red accents - inspired by the colors of the Azerbaijani flag, where blue symbolizes Turkic origins and red - modern development and freedom.

📌 Latvian influence

The silhouettes or geometric motifs of the white swan are a reference to Latvian heraldry and the traditional elements of the Latvian national coat of arms, which symbolize belonging.
The Nameja ring / knot — as a cultural symbol of friendship, unity and identity, to be used in a stylized form in the coat of arms (based on the understanding of Latvian symbolism).

📌 Combination & Composition
The coat of arms was designed around a central emblem, where the fire motif symbolizes the spark of life and roots from Azerbaijan, but it is enclosed in a stylized laurel or oak wreath - a symbol of strength, stability and connection with Latvia. Oak and laurel elements are widely used in heraldry as symbols of strength and dignity, which can be interpreted in the Latvian context.
The overall form is harmonious and balanced, allowing both cultural traditions to be equally visible and engaging.
